Come hai iniziato la tua carriera?

I got in touch with Cornèr Bank during the USI Career Forum as their Business Angel. That led to a 12 months contract, followed by an undetermined one.

Perché hai scelto di lavorare presso Cornèr Banca?

Firstly I chose Cornèr for their good reputation. Secondly, I was looking at medium size companies/banks (instead of big names) as a better way to learn and to develop academic skills during the 12 months at my disposal.

In cosa consiste il tuo ruolo?

I mainly manage portfolios under so called Active Advisory mandates, suitable for those high net worth clients who want a tailored made asset allocation. In addition, I provide information and investment proposals for clients under other types of mandate.

Quali sono, a tuo parere, le qualità necessarie per fare carriera in Cornèr Banca?

Integrity, professionalism, solid technical skills and open-minded attitude.

Quali sono secondo te le caratteristiche/gli aspetti positivi dell'USI?

  • Close relationship between professors and students.
  • Balanced number of students vs. professors in order to develop each students' capabilities.
  • Possibility to attend a variety of classes within each Masters.
  • Very nice campus.

Quali competenze e/o capacità acquisite durante il tuo percorso di studi all’USI sono risultate utili nella tua carriera professionale?

  • Precision and analytical tools.
  • Quantitative approach to solving problems.
  • Team-working.

Cosa potresti suggerire ad un neolaureato USI che deve entrare nel mondo del lavoro?

Strong commitment to the company's values and mission. High willingness to learn both on the job and with ongoing studies.
