During Covid was hard finding something interesting, but it the skill and knowledge gain I was able to find a consultant role for a firm helping clients maintaining and implementing SAP tools.

Why did you choose a career in McKinsey?

I wanted to find more exciting challenges and McKinsey really is a fast moving environment. You are always on the spot and your opinion is always considered even if you just started.

What is your current role/duties?

I help clients in distress finding solution to improve their situation, analysing both Balance Sheet and P&L.

In your opinion, what are the qualities necessary for a successful career in McKinsey?

  • Finance knowledge
  • open mind
  • hard work
  • Microsoft Office skills (guys shortcuts are important to learn!)

What positive aspects and qualities meant most to you during the study programme you attended?

The USI Master in Finance gave me a good financial knowledge background and opportunities to develop (do the CFA!). Projects are of great importance, and if you approach them with seriousness, they can offer opportunities to learn fascinating and valuable skills.

What is your advice to USI students entering the job market?

Be prepared to have more than your colleagues (everyone know finance after a Master).
