This section of the website is dedicated to Research Support and provides USI researchers with:
- Information on all open calls for research projects and information events;
- Specific information on each funding programme for PhD students, postdocs and experienced researchers;
- Support for the preparation of applications;
- Research project administration and financial management;
- Research and Service contracts administration and financial management;
- Technology transfer activities.
This information and support is provided by the Research and Transfer Service of USI (Università della Svizzera italiana), whose mission is to support USI researchers in their scientific activities.
The Research Support hosts the regional Euresearch office.

SNSF Project Funding
Start now preparing your SNSF research project!
SNSF Projects are open to all research fields. Eligible applicants are experienced researchers employed at least at 50% for the duration of the project (up to 4 years) who have good track records and are in the position to perform independent research.
USI Support to doctoral mobility - Online Information Event
In order to answer to the questions from PhD students on how to participate to USI doctoral mobility, the Research and Transfer Service is organizing an on-line information meeting, Wednesday 02.02 from 12.30 to 13.30. The president of USI Research Commission Prof. Gagliardini, Prof. Lepori and the Secretary Mrs. Casarella will shortly present the scheme and answer to your questions.

SNSF - Postdoc.Mobility
Submission deadline: 1st February, 2022
Postdoc.Mobility fellowships are aimed at researchers who wants to go abroad for a research stay of 12-24 months. This enables postdoc to acquire more in-depth knowledge, increase their scientific independence and enhance their research profile.
Movetia International Programme
Submission deadline: 31st March 2022
After a successful pilot phase, Movetia, the National Agency for the promotion of national and international exchange and mobility, launches its new International Programme call, supporting international cooperation projects in the field of Higher Education.
Projects should focus on international cooperation in the field of teaching, learning, assessing, or managing an educational institution. They should establish or strengthen existing international partnerships and initiatives, and provide opportunities for the transnational exchange of knowledge and experiences.
