Eligibility

Lead Applicant

• Must be affiliated with a Swiss higher-education institution, including:

  • Cantonal universities

  • Swiss federal institutes of technology

  • Federal/cantonal research institutes

  • Universities of applied sciences

  • Universities of teacher education

• Open to researchers at any career stage (career stage must be specified in application).

• Must be employed as a scientist before, during, and at project completion.

• Responsible for all correspondence and submission via Submittable platform.

Career Stages

• Early Career: Final-year PhD candidates or ≤ 2 years postdoc

• Intermediate Career: >2 and ≤5 years postdoc

• Advanced Career: >5 years postdoc

Partner Country Eligibility

• All African countries except the Maghreb region and Egypt.

Funding and duration

Maximum grant amount by career stage

• Early Career: Up to CHF 15,000

• Intermediate Career: Up to CHF 25,000

• Advanced Career: Up to CHF 40,000
