Eligibility

Each team must be eligible to apply to at least three participating funding organisations.

Team must include minimum 3 co-PIs, each eligible in a different participating funder country/region.

One co-PI must be eligible for NFRF (Canada) funding.

Stakeholder / end-user engagement is expected early and throughout (trans-sectoral approach encouraged).

Non-academic partners may join as:

team members, or
-
collaborators in a cooperative role.

Timeline of the call

18.11.2025 – pre-announcement dated.

January 2026 – official launch of the international call (SNSF participation starts).

By February 9, 2026 – optional contact list survey deadline for matchmaking among interested researchers.

After January 2026 launch – full call details (including proposal deadlines, funding amounts, duration, evaluation steps) to be released.
