Pensare la realtà: rectoverso riflette sull'informatica

Prosegue il prossimo mercoledì 8 febbraio, alle ore 17:30 nell'Auditorio del campus di Lugano, il ciclo "rectoverso", la serie di conferenze nel corso delle quali il Rettore dell'USI Prof. Boas Erez mette a tema - incontro dopo incontro - l'interesse generale delle tematiche sviluppate dalle diverse Facoltà e aree di ricerca dell'Università della Svizzera italiana.

Dopo i primi due appuntamenti dedicati all'architettura e al linguaggio, il prossimo incontro verterà sull'informatica e avrà per titolo "Pensare la realtà". Inserendosi nel filo conduttore del ciclo, dedicato al tema della "Fine di una certa intimità", la conferenza sarà l'occasione per ragionare su come l'informatica non sia solamente una tecnologia e su come essa possa aiutare a riflettere - in modo molto profondo - sulla relazione soggetto-oggetto, alla base dell'idea stessa di realtà.

"rectoverso" punta a condividere, come la metafora tipografica suggerisce, le molteplici prospettive di lettura della realtà offerte dall'USI, molte delle quali strettamente correlate tra di loro, come pagine di un unico racconto che parla dell'attualità e della vita di tutti i giorni. Il ciclo, pur affondando le proprie radici etimologiche nell'uso del papiro degli antichi manoscritti, ha una sua articolazione anche sui social media: dal profilo dell'USI su Twitter, all'hashtag #rectoverso, sarà infatti possibile seguire le argomentazioni del Rettore e partecipare alla discussione.

To think reality: rectoverso addresses the world of Informatics

"rectoverso", the series of public lectures given by USI Rector Prof. Boas Erez, addressing the academic community and the general public on topics of general interest developed within the Faculties and research groups at USI, continues with a third event on Wednesday, February 8, at 5:30 pm (Auditorium, Lugano campus).

After the first event dedicated to architecture and the second to language, the third in the series focuses on Informatics. The lecture "To think reality" adheres to the series leitmotiv "The end of a certain intimacy", granting the audience with elements of consideration on how informatics is not only about technology, but also on how informatics can help us to think - in a very deep sense - on the subject-object relation, which underlies the very idea of reality.

As metaphorically suggested by its name, "rectoverso" is about sharing the diverse perspectives of interpreting realities that USI can offer, many of which are closely related to each other, like the pages of a book narrating current events and everyday life."rectoverso", though its etymology refers to the use of papyrus for ancient manuscripts, will also engage in the digital world of social media: follow #rectoverso on our USI Twitter profile to engage in the discussion, read our Rector's arguments and post questions online.
