SNSF: Introduction to the NCCR programme and info on the expected call 2017 (Lugano)

In 2017, the SNF will launch a new call for 5-6 NCCRs. An information event will be held at USI, Lugano Campus, on November 30 2016 from 11:15 to 14:30 in Room 402.
The National Centres for Competence in Research (NCCR) are large research networks funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation for a period up to 12 years. They aim to strengthen Swiss research in areas of strategic importance for the future of Swiss science, economy and society. The program seeks to promote research projects of the highest quality with a particular emphasis on added value by interdisciplinary and/or novel, innovative approaches.
In the workshop, an SNSF representative will present the NCCR programme, the upcoming call and will be available to answer to questions. The workshop is mostly devoted to faculty members and heads of research groups, which might intend to participate to the call.
