SNSF - CHIST-ERA Call for proposal

The 2024 CHIST-ERA call for projects is open, focusing on Multidimensional Geographic Information Systems (MultiGIS) and Smart Contracts for Digital Transformation Ecosystems (SmartC).
Consortia must include researchers from at least three participating countries and are encouraged to involve members from EU "widening countries."
Swiss researchers are eligible to lead consortia under the Horizon 2020 program and should adhere to SNSF guidelines. 

Eligibility

• Proposals are submitted by consortia with partners from multiple countries.
• Each partner is directed by a principal investigator (PI), who interacts with the funding organization.
• Eligibility criteria for the consortium include having a minimum of three eligible and independent partners from three distinct countries, a balanced distribution of funding (with at most 60% from one country), and a clearly defined research goal.
• Partners who are not requesting funding may be part of a consortium if they can secure their own funding.
• The consortium coordinator must be supported by a funding organization participating in the topic.

Duration and Funding

• CHIST-ERA projects have a duration of either 24 or 36 months.
• Proposals are expected to request a contribution of 750 K€ to 1,000 K€ to address the call's objectives, but other amounts are also considered.

Timeline of the Call

• Notification of accepted proposals: October 2024
• Tentative start date for accepted projects: 1 December 2024
