Eligibility
Researchers who work at the envisaged location of the research equipment and are willing to assume part of the responsibility for its use and maintenance are eligible to submit an application. R'Equip applications may be submitted by one or more applicants.
Funding
A grant pays for the acquisition of equipment worth at least CHF 100,000. It generally covers up to 50% of the acquisition costs and amounts to a maximum of CHF 1 million. Additional funding from other sources must therefore be obtained.
Eligible costs comprise acquisition costs, i.e. all expenses linked to the purchase, production, adjustment, and installation of the equipment.
Relevant documents
The applications must be submitted electronically via mySNF. The following documents, in particular, must be submitted:
- a letter from the highest governing body of the research institution at the proposed location confirming that the research equipment conforms with the strategic orientation of the organisational unit to which it will be allocated and that the maintenance and operation of the acquisition is guaranteed;
- a list of other user groups besides the applicants that may benefit from the requested research equipment;
- an overview of the estimated acquisition costs based on the quotations obtained by the applicants.
