FSM (Swiss Research Foundation for Electricity and Mobile Communication) Call

The Swiss Research Foundation for Electricity and Mobile Communication (FSM) supports innovative research on EMF-technologies and associated electromagnetic fields focusing on short-, medium- and long-term impacts on health, society, and environment.
Eligibility:
- The call is open to both public and private research institutions and individual researchers, domestically and internationally.
- Young researchers are encouraged to submit proposals.
- Projects must focus on research related to exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields or biological effects of mobile radio on humans, fauna, and/or flora, specifically targeting frequencies in the 3 to 30 GHz range.
Funding and Duration:
- FSM is awarding CHF 150,000 in 2024 for a single research project.
- Projects may also receive funding for subsequent implementation in future calls for proposals from 2026.
- Follow-up or co-financing of ongoing projects is possible.
- Projects can also apply for additional funding within the framework of ongoing EU Horizon projects or Federal Office for the Environment FOEN research funding.
Timeline of the Call
Interested researchers must submit a pre-proposal (outline) by June 30, 2024.
