IELTS and Goethe language exams at USI

USI hosts the seats for the IELTS exams and the Goethe-Institut. Students therefore have the possibility to assess their English and German competences, sit an official exam and receive a certification.
IELTS
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It is the world's most popular English language test for higher education, with over 2 million IELTS tests taken in 2019. The British Council offers IELTS tests and preparation courses in its centres throughout the world, including USI.
The next exam dates are: 11 July 2020 / 7 November 2020 / 19 December 2020

Goethe-Institut
Goethe-Institut Prüfungszentrum for Ticino is now based on the Lugano campus of Università della Svizzera italiana, managed by the Laboratorio di Lingue Moderne. Candidates wishing to obtain a Goethe-Institut certification can register at USI’s Laboratorio, which will collect the fees, conduct the exams and issue the results. The official certificates provided by the Goethe-Institut will be sent to those who successfully pass the exam.
The next exam dates are: 5-6 June 2020 / 16-17 October 2020
